Scope:
Create new search user interfaces across all vendor solutions.
Challenge:
Minimize steps required to achieve results for searches. Make information more forward facing for ease of consumer use.
Solution:
Rebuilt menus and combined data bases resulting in a one-step search. Hosted a series of A/B testing and streamlined user experience based on those results. Contributions: Lead the UI/UX team for over a year designing and developing a system of design guidelines and components that fit all of
Blue Cross/Blue Shield’s 100+ vendors. Worked with product owners to design user interface mock-ups that adhered to established design patterns or created new patterns as needed. Improved consistency throughout the template. Illustrated design ideas by using storyboards, process flows, and site-maps. Designed graphic user interface elements. Built page navigation buttons and search fields. Developed UI mock-ups and prototypes that clearly illustrated how sites function. Prepared and presented rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders. Identified and troubleshot UX problems. Conducted layout adjustments based on user feedback. Adhered to all brand standard’s fonts, colors, and images.
